I can't believe we have lived here this long and didn't know. The trees were loaded with sweet South Carolina peaches. Yes, there is a difference.
My son and another minister in our church went up to the trees Monday and loaded up 2 wheelbarrows full. They said there was at least 20 more wheelbarrow loads up there. Wow!!
What to do with all those peaches. Make jellies, jams, preserves, cobblers, and pies of course. So far I've only managed to can 7 half pints of peach preserves.

These brave guys endure the mosquitoes, chiggers, and bees up there to get these sweet peaches.

Look at all that work you have to do. But you're right; you will be glad of it when winter comes. You'll have canned peaches and apples, and I won't have anything! It's like the ant and the grasshopper, isn't it?
Wow- Good for you! I would be like you, scrambling to find a use for them all. What a blessing!
